Every day outside the gates of the Army Corps of Engineers Compound in Seoul, I gawk at the people at the National Medical Center across the street. Now that the weather is getting nicer, the patients go outside for walks around the block or for smoke breaks. The patients all wear their white hospital pajamas outside and frequently drag their IVs along with them. Today was the funniest sight yet: two patients smoking while doing the Asian squat and five other patients (some in wheelchairs) loitering around smoking too. I didn't have my camera at the time but it would have been the perfect shot.... instead here are some pictures I've tried to take discreetly at other times. Oh, Korea!
