Kicking off the vacasian with pedicures at a Dr. Fish salon, where little fishies eat the dead skin off your feet. It half tickles and half feels like tiny pin pricks but mostly it's just bizarre. Can you imagine putting your whole body in there?
At the Korean Folk Village with Kate, where it was too hot and muggy to be interested in Korean history. We watched a traditional wedding and some outrageous horse-riding feats, but even the ice cream couldn't compel us to stay more than an hour. To make matters worse, any place on our bodies where sweat wasn't pouring down became prime feeding grounds for mosquitoes! Remind me to go back in the Fall. And do you love Kate's crazy huge visor? Most older Asian women wear these to keep the sun off their faces without messing up their hair, but I think Kate just liked the glitter.
Caroline and I also did a 5-day whirlwind tour of Japan: Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. Arigato for the memories, Nihon!
